Convention season is technically over for me, but I do have another small event coming up! October 13th is the third annual Indianapolis Scottish Highland Games & Festival. Their marketing situation has been pretty dire over the past couple years, relying on logos and promotional materials their printing vendor was willing to throw together for free. Since I moved back to the Indianapolis area earlier this year and my parents are both on the committee, I offered to redesign their logo and create an event poster they could edit and reuse over the years in exchange for booth space.

The festival itself includes a full amateur highland games with both men’s and women’s events, youth and adult rugby, FREE scotch tasting, live celtic music all day, and a historically accurate royal Scottish court (featuring Mary, Queen of Scots). They’re also in dire need of volunteers! Volunteering to work part of the festival nets you free admission, an official games t-shirt, and lunch, so check that out if you’re local and interested in helping out.
